![]() They will extend service to refrigeration technicians by operating at (-40 F), offering longer distance of communication, and can be mounted to any pipe size. ![]() Sporlan's next generation of temperature and pressure sensors, coming this fall, will continue to meet the IP65 protection rating and offer even longer battery life. The Sporlan sensors are rated IP65 which offers great dirt, dust, and water protection. They also provide a very good length of service at over 250 hours of use in typical conditions.īuilt-in rechargeable designs require ports that can lead to moisture ingression. The coin cells used in Sporlan's first generation SMART Service Tool Sensors allow for a very compact design to allow installation in tight spaces. I.figure I put it's out their in case any others were considering the purchase of them. That is the only difference besides price. The Sporlan has the blue pelican and the Parker the yellow pelican case. I have pictures but I can't release them.sorry.įYI, Parker and Sporlan sell the same exact Smart tool just under different names. Although I plan to get the Pro/R Smart Tool when released. I'm now considering picking up a parker smart tool since I've found them new for under $400. The greatest news about the new Smart tool is that they are no longer using those annoying coin cell batteries!!! That is what kept me away from them for so long. They have all of the equipment and knowledge how to produce tools more effeciently. Testo smart probes are priced way less because they are a tool manufacturer unlike Sporlan/Parker. All of the electronics are Chinese made and possibly a few more items China, as you probably could have guessed. The unit is just assembled in the US but all the parts are from. The smart tool will also have the ability to take delta T and delta P measurements also, which can be added to your reporting function.įor all those who think that the smart tool is made in the US you are wrong. They will also be releasing, in the future, temp humidity probes, like testis and the Imanifolds. I'm in contact with a rep who is going to contact me the day he knows of the release! It could be released any day now but non of the reps know the exact date. It was suppose to be release thus month but has been pushed off. More readings will also be displayed on the apps screen at once as well. You can use the previous smart tool transducers and temp probes minis the range with the new software. You will also be able to monitor up to 5 different systems with the addition of more transducers and temp probes! It will no longer be sold as a kit but as individual sensors/probes. The little that I could find out from the local rep was that the new tool will mm have a range of 400Ft and the transducers now have a small antenna to achieve this amazing range through concrete walls. The new Sporlan Pro/R Smart Tool get some serious upgrades as well as the capability to incorporate new sensors as they are released. I was recently looking at the Sporlan/Parker Smart Tool because the price was recently dropped to $436 for the kit to keep Testo smart probes from killing sales while they get sued by Sporlan for patent infringement. ![]() If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact support.
